About Mules and More

Mules and More Magazine has been published monthly for mule and donkey enthusiasts for the last 43 years. Mules and More's first issue was released in May 1980 by its founder and editor Rosetta Baugh (now Hales), of Carthage, Missouri. In November 1990, the publication changed hands and was purchased by Sue Cole, of Bland, Missouri, who remained the editor for the next 25 years. Sue made a name for herself in the mule and donkey world by travelling all over the United States to sales, festivals, trail rides, shows and any other mule or donkey event where she could promote the magazine. Sue made life-long connections and friends with nearly everyone she met and in doing so grew the magazine to an international level. When Sue retired, she handed the 'reins' to her granddaughter, current owner and editor Cori Daniels, also of Bland.

Mules and More is a much-needed resource for the mule and donkey industry. Each issue covers a wide range of topics related to mules and donkeys, including care, training, breeding, health, and showing. The magazine also features articles on mule-related events and activities, as well as profiles of interesting mule people. Mules and More offers both print and digital formats for each issue.

This magazine has been instrumental in promoting the mule and donkey industry and educating the public about mules and donkeys. Mules and More has a team of writers who are experts in all aspects of mule and donkey care and training, including: Meredith Hodges, an equine trainer, educator, author and TV personality specializing in mules and donkeys, specifically the contemporary saddle mule; Anna Arnold, who has competed in gymkhana events and trail ridden her mule all over the United States; Tabitha Holland, a mule and donkey trainer who specializes in showing and breeding; Jerry Tindell, a clinician and trainer who focuses on teaching both the animal and the rider; Donna Taylor, who lives in France and brings an international flair to the magazine by highlighting mule and donkeys around the world; and Angie Mayfield, a professor and author who has ridden mules in all 50 states. Guest contributors are routinely featured, as well.

Mules and More magazine is a great way to stay connected with the mule and donkey community. If you are interested in mules and donkeys, you are sure to find something in their pages that you find helpful, interesting, or entertaining.
