2022 Missouri Mule Makeover Youth Contestants
The reserve champion in the Junior Youth Division was Mary Jones, 13 years old and from Illinois, on her entry Fancy
The reserve champion in the Senior Youth division was Natalie Gann (19 years old and from Missouri) and The Western Wood (barn name Aslan). This pair had a stunning costume for their “Chronicles of Narnia” themed freestyle, complete with a custom lion-themed shield. Natalie was the 2021 Senior Youth division winner
Third place winner in the Senior Youth division Bentley White (14 years old and from Texas) taking his entry Mia over the rocking bridge in the trail course
Fourth place winner in the Senior Youth division Kelby Aubert (14 years old and from Kansas) hits a golf ball off the saddle horn while standing on his entry Nola
Fifth place winner in the Senior Youth division Konner Walters (from Kentucky) during his Christmas-themed free style on his makeover entry Molly Jane
Levi Weatheread (14 years old and from Texas) and his entry Rooster could be seen on Facebook making great progress throughout the summer. However in August, Levi was involved in an accident (while on a different animal) that broke his hip. The injury required extensive surgery and time for rehabilitation. The Missouri Mule Makeover and Ozark Mule Day community raised over $4,300 to help with his medical expenses. Though Levi was not able to attend the Makeover in August, Tim Weatheread did share this photo on December 5 of Levi’s first ride since the accident and the mule he chose to ride was his Makeover entry, Rooster!
